Women empowerment and girl’s education will support South Central Somalia peace and development process by increasing access to education and livelihood for women and girls from the vulnerable and disadvantaged in extremely poor households such as the IDPs and orphanages.
The selection criteria are often strict, women ages range from 19 to 65 years old. To in the supportable list, one must have business or farming background such as those who had farmyards and struggling to continue or unable because of water or other restrictions will be helped with necessary means to successfully re-cultivate their farmable land space.
For example, In Afgoa Somalia we co-implemented irrigation farming for 8 farms installed solar-powered systems after river run dry this has been success project and intend to appeal to our partners such as ADRA and European Union donor to help us increase supporting such encouraging relief efforts. For the girls, we support schooling from 7 to 18 years olds again from vulnerable families. Girls education will mean that they will be able to take part in the job market, help themselves and their families both financially and socially, after completing high school or even go to university.
