DAN operating principles ensure that there are inclusion and protection of children, persons with disabilities and all other excluded groups in all our programs. Conscious of the dangers faced by children, women and other excluded groups, DAN has ensured that its policies and work ethos provide for the full protection of children rights, inclusion of all genders in different programs and affirmative actions that sustain participation of all groups in the programs. DAN maintains the highest standards of Child Protection. Child abuse in all forms is unacceptable to DAN, which recognizes its responsibility to protect children from harm in all areas of its work. DAN’s Prevention Sexual, Exploitation and Sexual Abuse (PSEA) policy articulates the organization’s zero-tolerance approach to ALL forms of child abuse and provides a framework for preventing, managing and reducing risks of child abuse by persons engaged in delivering DAN’s programs and operations. DAN has developed this child protection policy in order to create a child-safe environment and a child rights-based approach in all programmes and to ensure that the organization has procedures in place to prevent and respond to all forms of suspected or actual child abuse cases applying it to DAN Personnel, including partners, consultants and contractors
